Business intelligence specialist extends offering with Predictive Analytics and Data-Mining

As of today, D1 Solutions develops the Predictive Analytics and Data Mining area with Dr. Bernhard Brabec (40). These sophisticated analysis methods support decision makers in understanding complex interconnections like business risks or customer relationships and estimating future events, risks and opportunities.
Dr. Bernhard Brabec has wide experience in this field. Previously, he worked as head of Professional Services for Central Europe at Insightful AG. There his interdisciplinary team developed business-analytical applications for the financial and pharmaceutical industry. In this function he established the Zurich office for Insightful and developed, amongst others, a risk management platform for a big insurance company.
After completion of his studies in computer science and a postgraduate course in statistics, Brabec did research and development for many years. At the Swiss Federal Institute for snow and avalanche research (SLF) in Davos he was the team leader of the avalanche warning systems and forecasting models department. His PhD thesis was about computer-aided regional avalanche forecasting.
